OK- So I have finally made a decision about Friday workshops! They will begin at 10:30 a.m.! That will hopefully work well with all of you and allow me more time to set up and get ready.
So for now on . . . Friday workshops from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.!

The first "Long Pose Wednesdays" was a total success!! We did a three hour pose and it was a great vibe. Please come on Wednesdays from 6-9p for such a pose. Of course you can always move around if you wish to change it up. PAINTERS WELCOME!!

OK, well it's actually the day after but . . . HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!!

Hello All! We have decided to focus on two weekly workshops for now and will probably start back up a weekend workshop in February of 2010. Wednesdays will be "LONG POSE WEDNESDAYS!" and will obviously have one to three poses per workshop depending upon what YOU want to do. So PAINTERS, SCULPTORS and those who want to really focus on one drawing please come! Also, it must be said that you can obviously move around to different positions if you want shorter poses.
In regards to Friday workshops, everything stays the same: moving from short poses up to 20 to 30 minutes.

Hey All! Well, we're successfully moving into week three of the workshops and I'm happy to say that all is going well! The word is getting around and things are happening. I'm going to be starting a 'ten and up' class on Tuesdays for one hour, which I'm looking forward to. The 4th is nearing and I'm running around getting ready. Some things may not be as I want them (as they should be) by the 4th, but look at it as a work in progress and I am working on it as much as possible!

To all of those who are following: I'm sorry to say that I need one more week to get ready. My apologies to all but know that it is coming and our first workshop WILL BE on November 4th, 6-9p!

Model stand has been built and all the materials for the benches are ready to roll!!
I see below that it says the 27th is the first class . . . it is Wednesday the 28th at 6-9p!
Parking will be somewhat difficult, so please come early and/or carpool if possible (I will have the studio open by 5:30 the latest). There are places on the street still left by 6 p.m., you just might have to 'hunt around' a little (by 6, try 4th and Bonito if you're having a hard time finding a spot).

A change has occurred! I've decided to move some of the workshops around so that there is one evening class, one day class and one weekend class (thanks Tim). Please note that the timing of these workshops are "in progress," meaning that we will see when there is a need and if enough people voice to me that same time, I will add it (so please communicate with me about your schedule and if you want more and/or different workshops added . . . info@studio1021.com).

So now the three workshops a week are Wednesday night at 6, Friday and Saturday morning's at 10.

OK ALL . . . Tuesday, October 27th is the start date for the non-instructional life drawing workshops! I will be starting with 3 workshops a week: Tuesdays from 1-4 p.m., Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m., and Fridays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. I will be adding more as we get going. The Tuesday and Friday workshops should present no parking problems since it is AFTER street sweeping in the neighborhood. The Wednesday night workshop will require some driving around and searching, so try to come early and/or carpool.

Back in town! Still working on web site but nearing 'the finish line.' My goal is have the benches done by this week and/or the model stand. I'm currently working on a commissioned portrait and mural, and some free-lance computer painting, so I'm BUSY! It's coming though . . . !!

Hello World!  Studio 1021 is finally here, but we still have much work to do.  Soon, we will have art classes going in full swing and more art shows to come!  Join our blog, and we will keep you posted.
